Cody Allen Hager @codyallenhager.bsky.social · 05/03/2026I absolutely love Maine. If you're doing the hits, Portland and Bar Harbor (especially for Acadia) are worth your time. Saco, Lewiston, Brunswick are all old mill towns with cool manufacturing buildings. For really off the beaten path, head up to Allagash and check out the waterway and ghost trains. 020

A wonderful natural landscape, decrepit and abandoned buildings, small towns that look like they're from a JRPG, etc. Just don't let yourself get eaten by the horseflies 110

mildmojo @mildmojo.bsky.social · 06/03/2026If you find yourself near Acadia, check out the tiny towns on the western half of Mount Desert Island (where Acadia is), beautiful in fog at dusk. Stop in Waterville and visit the Two Cent suspension footbridge, one of my favorite spots. Visit cute downtown Hallowell & eat at The Liberal Cup pub. 110
