The possible price of loving someone is having to grieve them eventually and AI cannot stop that. It cannot soften the blow or fill a void and it is quite frankly disrespectful and weird to try

This is exactly my problem with these kinds of services. Look, I’m here for having an immortal robot body, but eventual death gives life purpose. And AI itself isn’t ready for this so we’re not too far from pop up ads at Christmas from grandma’s AI voice to cover the cost of servers.

Grief is beautiful, it means that person or being had a huge impact on you, and their loss meant enough to cause suffering. I don’t think we should cling to our grief, but it’s important, and meaningful and defines relationships between sentient beings. Grief is love thru time.

The measure of grief we feel is equal to the amount of love we had with someone we lost or are losing. Its complex and bond driven. Its entirely human, and fucked up trying to "cure" when its a condition of living a life worth while. We have to cope ahead, loss is a part of the experience.
