Ethan Kocak @ethankocak.com · 25/09/2026My city is opening up a brand new public aquarium and I just applied for a job as an aquarist (with a strong emphasis on science communication skills). 232037

Gwen C. Katz @gwenckatz.bsky.social · 26/09/2026I hope it's a Zoom interview so they can ask "what's your previous experience" and you can just say "well" and move aside 080
Andy P @a-n-d-y.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Whip out a giant poster of all your scientist avatar illustrations 020
Zee (missing life's little cues) @miscue.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Ooo, that would be so COOL. Fingers crossed for you 🤞 010

bronwynn-wolfe.bsky.social @bronwynn-wolfe.bsky.social · 25/09/2026With absolutely no clout in the industry I 100% think they should hire you based on how many people I have shown your reptile and amphibian illustrations to and they went oh that is a ...whatever it was. You have to know your stuff to make it instantly recognizable. 010
Liana Brooks @lianabrooks.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Good luck! I hope we'll hear good news from you soon! 010
Alyssa "Covered in Rats" Read 🐀🎨🐀 @missalyssaread.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Oh that sounds like a dream job. Tell them the internet thinks they should hire you! 000
Cephaloween @cephalofillevtuber.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Ooh Mon dieu that's awesome!!😲😲 I've always wanted to work on an aquarium but where I live there's none. I think you're right about comics and aquariums being not that different cos both are about organizing things in boxes. And with your science communication skills they surely will hire you! 😊 000
Ethan Kocak @ethankocak.com · 25/09/2026If I get an interview I already know how I’m going to respond with regard to my CV being mostly comics-related work: Comics and aquaria are both about telling stories by putting little things in boxes. 91285
