I have made bread. I have made pirogi dough, and I have made meatloaf with roasted poblano peppers in it. My house smells like the kind of place a Ukrainian grandmother would approve of. I am very ok with this. They are terrifying. I want them to be happy.

Today was Bubbs first day of preschool. He fucking owned it. No separation anxiety. No hesitation. He just walked up and tried to rip the door of its hinges to get in and then again to get to Papa for pick up He got rave reviews and he just. He did everything we have practiced.

I have maybe recovered from my partners birthday weekend that contained a Japanese cultural festival with Taiko Akido Judo and Sumo demonstrations, so much good food, and several interesting beers and sakes. It was hot as hell and loud but we had fun and got to see some really cool things in person.

All the flavors Papa wanted were shoved to the back of the shelf. Toddler was riding o shoulders and when Papa said Oh No! he said HEP? and started fishing them out. Papa gave him the hight to snag em and he got every single one and was just thrilled and crowed. Love these goobers.

I have just introduced my Mate to the southern concept of a shower drink. Traditionally mimosa of other fruit containing deceptive liquids, but in his case it is a Junmi Genjo Shogun Sake. Paired with a nice hot shower and a wasabi beard wash I think I have a good start on his work week.

I have made a very over the top dessert and I am not sorry. Take a 9x13 pan and make fudge brownies. let them cool and then coat with a thin layer of Carmel. make a standard batch of rice crispy treats and layer that on top. Let cool. Slice. EAT. do with this what you will it is amazing.

It is National cheese day. so far I have in my hoard a nettle gouda, cranberry stilton, red dragon with is an ale and mustard seed cheddar, an aged cheddar, a cheer, and a few other bits and bobs. And. fresh batch of chicken salad and so many crackers. I think I have made a decent offering.

Discovered a new cheesemonger last week. Stampers cheese www.stampercheese.net They have a burning nettle gouda that was honestly the most interesting cheese I have ever tasted and that is staying something. Think dairy pop rocks. It was so good my mate asked me to go back to acquire more.
