Fantastic news: IOODancing in 1440p is the easiest thing in the world to implement and looks absolutely wondrous. Will be enabled in the next update. The only thing that looks weird is the settings menu, whose font looks straight outta Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (3DS). But that’s fine.

I should say — I am working on an Easy Mode for IOODancing! It should be out sometime soon. Most songs are charted, and now I'm going back and re-charting the easier versions of early songs to make a more smooth difficulty curve. The easy mode still Gets Harder but it gets Much Less Hard.

My wrist is being merciful and no longer ails me, so before I work on IOODancing's Collections menu, I finished up the IOOD update I planned to release alongside IOODancing. Doesn't really add much at all, just has some fixes, refinements, and one day redesigned (which was planned, never done).

Finished MrBeast’s book. Definitely the worst piece of literature I’ve yet read. It was in contest with Dhalgren but Dhalgren has masterful prose and an engaging premise, it’s just ruined by being unreadably racist and sexist. MrBeast’s book has genuinely nothing to it other than the tokens he spent

I am going to have to invent some paid “supporter pack” for IOODancing in order to get it into a bundle with IOOD that’s visible on both store pages on Steam. I am learning that Steam is quite hostile to free games, and also offers almost no metrics data for said free games. Unfortunate!

One of my playtesters has been having extreme difficulty with IOODancing and we just realized it’s because he only has 1 eye. The Persona Dancing format is peripheral-vision-based and regularly puts notes directly into an eye’s blind spot 😭

I should say the main reason I want an industry job is because I live in the U.S. and am a cancer survivor with bipolar 2 and so my healthcare costs are absolutely fucking insane. Before insurance my daily meds are like $2,000 a month, and my monthly ketamine infusions are $350 (not covered!).

Trying out Marathon and I’m absolutely in love with Destroyer’s design. They gave me some cosmetics but idk why I’d ever want to be anything other than a Jegan!

Its chest gives the impression of a hexagonal shape (with the large flat parts being where the arms connect to the torso). Notably, the top half of the Jegan’s legs are very flat, rectangular prisms, with no front skirting armor. The lower half of their legs are large UC-style Gundam lower legs, with large vernier thruster portions as in the Zeta Gundam. It also has giant feet. And its head is grunt-style, with a simple visor and without the iconic Gundam “V-fin”. It does have an ear piece antenna thing though, like the Ez-8 Gundam (pronounced E.Z. 8, idk if a screen reader would pronounce that correctly).
