i get why AI is so depressing to me. because covid already shrunk my world to almost nothing, where almost all of my life revolves around socializing and watching videos on the internet (which is being ruined by AI) and creating creative works through coding (which is being ruined by AI), often using open source tools and libraries (which are being ruined by AI)

i already had so little and now even that is being rotted away before my eyes

It's interesting AI actually just rots every possible worthwhile thing, art, programming, academic work, literature, socialisation, while emboldening the worst elements imaginable (genocide, capital etc) Technological death end, like filling the streets with poison gas.

i'd like to point out to the "build games not engines" crowd that it took only 19 business days to build a custom scripting language, parser with good error reporting, compiler, and integrate it into my engine i have spent more time than that evaluating existing "out of the box" solutions before
