"Devastating. Absolutely devastating. I wanted to be in that more and they killed me off. But they had to. And actually, if you're going to die, having Richard E. Grant be the one who blasts you across a black corridor, that's pretty cool." www.slashfilm.com/2250714/star...

Domhnall Gleeson talks about playing Hux at 4:15. In short: He wishes the roots of Hux’s ruthlessness could have been explored more. He also uses the phrase “stuff with Kylo Ren in corridors,” which means something much different to us out here in kyluxland

AU in which 15-year-old Ben Solo had Nick Cave in his head instead of Snoke

From Nick Cave’s Red Hand Files:

I am 15, and I'm just wrapping up my freshman year. I am a really big fan of your music. | I have a lot of friends but no one is like me, I can't relate to anyone. I am a really big fan of poetry and music and I write poetry and music all day long. [| What do I do with these 400 poems on my phone I'm so proud of, how do I find people to talk to about it.
Thank you, Mr Cave, thanks for changing my life and letting me feel a part of something and being an amazing friend in my head, walking down the school halls.
BEN, .., USA
Don't let it get you down. There are many creative young people out there like you - you'll find them, or they'll find you, eventually.
In the meantime, send me a couple (not 400!) of your poems, Id love to read them.
Love, Nick

When I was starting out as an erotica writer, I hung out a lot with an older gay man who'd been writing smut forever. He told me that without straight women writing gay paperbacks in the 1950s, gay culture as we know it might not exist. He insisted gay men owed these ladies a huge unpayable debt.

Manny Jacinto: "I feel like with a lot of the franchises that we currently have, it’s missing the romance. It’s missing a lot of love and relationships. We have the big fight scenes and the origin stories of these heroes and whatnot, but they don’t really have a relationship with other people."

My OC Chief Counselor Mira Galen from my fic Putting the Damage On. I modeled her on the model Charo Ronquillo, but she somehow ended up looking more like me. Oh well (The dragon behind her is part of the insignia for my dad’s kung fu school!)

I’m in a hypomanic mood to finish all of my fic that has been languishing. I know the complete plots of most of them. There’s “Sleeping with Ghosts,” a Kylux+OC, Wuthering Heights-inspired; “No Retreat,” Gingerpilot slow burn, mental health-focused; and BG3 Galemancing “I’ll Fall with Hour Knife” hm

This was inspired by American Primitive portraits—mostly because I know I don’t have the skill to create realistic portraits. I’m pleased that manage to get Anja to look like herself in different styles, but that’s because out of convenience I use myself for ref with changes to specific areas

How to tell a raven from a crow. An older guide I made with Dr Kaeli Swift. And yes that's an aileron roll, not a barrel roll, but only us nerds know that :)

A chart called "how to tell a raven from a crow". An illustration shows that the common raven has long, fancy throat feathers, but the American crow has smooth throat feathers. The raven has a wedge-shaped tail and the crow has a fan-shaped tail. The raven croaks, saying "crroak crroak", but the crow caws, saying "caw caw caw". The raven regularly barrel rolls, and is shown doing a fun roll in the sky, with the sound effect whooooosh. The crow less regularly barrel rolls, and it's shown flying awkwardly and saying "Am I doing it now??" while another crow replies "ummm almost".
