Happy Birthday to the N64 in NA. I can't believe its been 30 years since it released! I absolutely fell in love with this console and played so much of it growing up and even now in my adult years I come back to it.

C - DAI's trailer with Darkness by The Phantoms. That was a pretty epic trailer and good music. I actually liked that song so much I had to go out and buy it. I do like DAO's scared ashes trailer as well.

It's interesting to see that they devs did this too for the dungeons. When making the disk,we realized early on you had to load the entire dungeon with it's rooms into ram, otherwise every time you opened a door, the game would pause and lag while the DD is reading and loading the next room.

Very nice find! Definitely confirms what was found when we were restoring the lost DD dungeons found in the gigaleak. The disk implementation is pretty limited, swapping only dungeons, mini maps, treasure chest markers, pause menu maps, text and staff credits.

My second question is in the restoration why was the intro done with a slide show and not created in engine? This has always confused me as it is very possible to do, heck we saw in alttp intro do something similar.

Something I never really understood was in AST, why the interiors were completely missing? Is there other broadcast games that have this issue? Is the data really completely gone or was this just people not understanding how satellaview works compared to now?

E - DAO, Dwarf noble, warrior. I had never played the dwarf storyline before so I was giving it a shot. I do want to do a commoner playthrough at some point as well.

If you have audio issues on sd2snes / FX Pak Pro, such as lag or random noise: - Update the sd2snes / FX Pak Pro firmware. - Reformat your SD card. - Use a different SD card if it fails to work as intended. I cannot do any fixes from my end about audio. The cartridge handles MSU1 all by itself.

Camelot was the GOAT back then. I loved the Mario golf games on the gbc and N64 as well as their Mario tennis games. I thought it was really cool using the Transfer pak to unlock characters and new courses. I really miss features like this that are non-existent in modern gaming today.

Something I recently noticed, Zelda's eye color in remake, it's the wrong color. Her eyes are blue in the OG and green in the remake. Interesting the green matches the wilds era Zelda. I'm beginning to think this game isn't as 1:1 as we first thought. 🤔

Seeing Project Dream prototype release is crazy. Some of the effects its doing is pretty insane for an SNES game, including overcast shadows in certain areas. Rare clearly was ahead of the game on the SNES back in the day.

Project Dream for SNES by Rare just got released: archive.org/details/proj... Since the googly-eyed cartridge tease by Tim Stamper in 2015 I was hoping we'd see this prototype in the wild. The music and art style are lovely. It makes me happy to finally see and hear this game up close. 🦊

Oh its definitely better than the fanmade unreal versions no doubt but yeah, it seems they were struggling with the character's facial designs. Like they couldn't decide between stylized or realistic. Some of them look really good like Mido or Saria, but child Zelda was a jumpscare!

I started out back in the day on the Amiga 500 with Populous and that sparked my interests in life simulation but simcity is where I fell in love with it! I used to rent the game any time I could on the weekends until my parents just bought the game for me, probably to save them rental money haha.

The OGs are built pretty sturdy, I have dropped mine a few times because I'm a huge clutz and none of the hinges broke. So they must of really been bending those hinges while it was open to break them.

I have two OG DS, I used to do a lot of Pokemon trading between them. It definitely has a lot of scuff marks from several holiday trips, moving several places, and one of the screens has circular marks from spinning the wheel on Ouendan. But neither has issues with that hinges or crumbing shells.

I used to go there in the late 90s to pick up N64 games and picked up my first dreamcast there, it came with Sonic Adventure, Sonic Shuffle and a SA2 demo disc. Its also where I picked up one of my favorite RPGs, Skies of Arcadia. Sadly the mall owner hiked the rental price forcing them to close.

Are you sure that's an early title screen for the BS-X cartridge? It almost reminds me of the famicom disk system startup when no disk is present. I wonder if Satellaview was meant to have something similar when no cartridge was plugged in but the add on was attached to the console?
