It was supposed to be 2 days of 9:00-18:00 training but we ended super early yesterday and today lol. Now i'm kinda stuck here until my flight tomorrow (BA won't let you jump on an earlier flight anymore unless you're silver membership and up -__-) Pints it is

Kinda hated that the review was sprung on me so randomly without warning or prep time, but it consisted of 3 pints in the bar below our office - real casual stuff.

Was supposed to be here for a 2 day training, ending up having a quarterly review with my UK boss on Monday since we rarely get to meet (and yeah so many changes in this company, I technically report to the UK now lol)

Can't check in yet, but they sent me up to an unstaffed bar while I wait, the primal urge to jump over the counter and pull myself a pint 😂

The lighting in D2 makes it feel so different but Oryx climbing up in that final encounter is still so perfect 👌

I have driven so much for work this year that I'm already on the dreaded band 3 of Irish civil rates mileage (39.22c per KM 🥲)

Also thanks (no thanks) to the Sherpa that decided to pull the whole fireteam out of the raid immediately rather than leaving the group. I wanted to have look around 🥲

I've also heard nothing but good things about the new studio heads (specifically Poria) from current & former Bungie devs, so it sounds like they're in decent hands. *very* cautiously optimistic

Having sat with the Bungie news for a few days, there is a LOT of trust to earn back here, but starting with restoring all of the vaulted content is a great first step. Even just leaving D2 in a more complete state as they move on to other projects is 100% "doing right by the fans"

Zepwich @zepwich.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Absolutely! Def not letting one bad experience deter me from continuing. There are genuinly some really good sherpas out there. Our recent DSV run was one of the best - Sherpa pushed us to do the more difficult roles so we would learn - on top of being incredibly patient and chill with us.

Zepwich @zepwich.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Honestly if you're going to get annoyed and impatient at the slightest mistake with people running this for the first time, then you shouldn't be sherpa-ing at all 😑

110 1

Zepwich @zepwich.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Since EoS we've been LFG-ing raids for the first time and up until now we've had an excellent experience with the sherpas. As much as I enjoyed VoD, the sherpa we ended up with last night made for a very negative experience. 🥲

Was looking at the Silent Hill Townfall concept art and my jaw dropped. Was back in my hometown tonight so I had to go and take a photo. There are many ways to mock my beloved Coatbridge, but “your home’s so miserable it was used as concept art for a Silent Hill game” is a new one for me
