Zal15 @zal15.bsky.social · 11/10/2026And now this year, Android 17 (and older versions of android with GMS down to 7) will make installing apks harder. Never forget what they took away from us. If there's more, let me know. I personally feel like Android is gonna change for the worst. They have become what they set out to destroy... 000 0
Zal15 @zal15.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Android 11 started restricting the ability to view and interact the Android/Data folder on file managers, Android 12 made apps like termux harder to use due to Phantom Process Killer update, Android 14 made installing older versions of applications harder to install for some reason... 100 0
Zal15 @zal15.bsky.social · 11/10/2026I honestly miss the early to mid 2010's of Android. You can do SO MUCH without having to root the phone. And now each year passes, it gets taken away. Android 6 made apps that use the overlay kinda shit so allowing permissions just wont work. Android 10 made custom launchers icky due to gesture nav. 100 0
Zal15 @zal15.bsky.social · 11/10/2026A reminder btw that Android today isn't as "free" and "yours" than you think... keepandroidopen.org My enthusiasm on Android is basically dropped to zero as of this year. Most phones have become more restrictive than before, and the bootloader is getting harder to unlock each new phones over time...keepandroidopen.orgKeep Android OpenYour phone is about to stop being yours. In 2027, Google will block every Android app whose developer hasn't registered with them. 100 0
Zal15 @zal15.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Oh, thx for reminding me that I should uninstall discord. Fuck off with locking down accounts that in the end does no effect at all cuz people are gonna find ways to bypass it anyway. 000 0

Zal15 @zal15.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Their methods of “banning” it are… Not effective lmfao😂✌️ A simple dns change of your operating system fixes it for me and I was still able to access both reddit and discord. Although, I already quit discord as of a few months ago since I’m now on Stoat! :D This is now your time to try alternatives.. 012 0
Zal15 @zal15.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Kinda glad that I tried niri since its really really good :) So here's a quick vid of my niri setup. 001 0
Zal15 @zal15.bsky.social · 19/09/2026I decided to try niri for the first time and holy shit I'm in lovee😍 With DankMaterialShell, it feels so fresh and unique! :D Scrolling tiling manager really is a solution to the "claustrophobic" workflow I had with hyprland on laptop screens. 100 0
Zal15 @zal15.bsky.social · 19/09/2026they’re on 11.18 while their own winehq repos are still at 11.16 as of rn😭 000 0
Zal15 @zal15.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Finally can access this platform again. Idk what happened to bluesky but for the past week, I can't log back in to bluesky and my devices that have already logged in just won't load anything. It seems that its working again for me as of today. 000 0

Zal15 @zal15.bsky.social · 06/09/2026FYI: Their own benchmark is bullshit. They use an old version of Firefox to make their own browser to look good. You could say thats the latest version at the time they tested, however, the version of chrome and brave they used here is from July 2026, while firefox 146.0.1 is from December 2025… 000 0
Zal15 @zal15.bsky.social · 03/09/2026They really don't want you to use their service...? Ok no problem then, their products are shit anyway😂✌️ Looks like asha ain't cooking anymore... 040 0
Zal15 @zal15.bsky.social · 30/08/2026update: I'm having way too fun here in void linux :D its soooo fast it somehow made my laptop not on the usual celeron speeds anymore :O 000 0
Zal15 @zal15.bsky.social · 29/08/2026Welp, its time to distrohop again on my laptop. After wiping my Debian install for Void Linux, This one impressed me. Seriously, out of all distros I tried on my laptop, this one is the fastest! The boot times are quick, it uses less memory, and its really fast for a laptop that uses a celeron :O 010 0
Zal15 @zal15.bsky.social · 29/08/2026Oh so thats why my vm got the new start menu even tho its at ltsc 2024. Interesting. 000 0
Zal15 @zal15.bsky.social · 23/08/2026fyi: Depending on how old your hardware is, it might significantly get worse performance, and increases the chance of getting stutters when interacting the shell. Especially when unlocking the lock screen. Gnome shell relies heavily on javascript via gjs, so uh yikes 000 0

Zal15 @zal15.bsky.social · 16/08/2026When will gnome add the ability to change the frickin touchpad scrolling speed?! Its too high ootb on any distro that uses gnome by default. At least theres wayland scroll factor that allows me to change it, but the fact I have to go use a 3rd party project just to change that one setting is stupid. 000 0
Zal15 @zal15.bsky.social · 15/08/2026I have just tried Firefox again in form of Firefox Nightly (cuz why not lol) and so far, the performance is FINALLY on par with Thorium I've been daily driving for a while on my laptop! I'm so glad firefox is getting better and better every day :D 100 0
Zal15 @zal15.bsky.social · 14/08/2026Since I can use my pc again, I have just switched from artix to Debian on my laptop :) Artix is nice, but I do need a bit of stability and less time of maintaining the system, especially when dealing with software that is made to work with systemd like Waydroid and epson utility program... 010 0

Zal15 @zal15.bsky.social · 17/07/2026I decided to revisit my Linux Mint 23 install by booting it from my laptop instead of my pc.
