Women have spent generations changing their behaviour to stay safe from men. Don't walk home after dark. Cover your drink. Don't fall asleep at the party. Keep one headphone out. Carry your keys between your fingers. Text when you get home. Let him down gently. Don't be too friendly, but don't be too rude. Give him a fake number. Have an exit plan. Screenshot the threats before blocking him.
Here's a radical idea: maybe the people creating the danger should be the ones expected to change their fucking behaviour?!

Between years of college, I worked a job doing outdoor maintenance. The last time I drank from those hoses was when one had to be unplugged due to the <ahem> aquatic life getting stuck in it, blocking the sprinkler. Such was my conviction that all hose water is potable. (Luckily no illness resulted)

#AlbertaSeparation is a white nationalist/Christo-fascist treasonous movement to destabilize Canada, as exemplified by far right 🇺🇸 ‘pastor’ #DougWilson’s support. Not by coincidence, at a time when 🇨🇦 is being hit with economic warfare, threats of annexation, black-ops & global economic turmoil.

A prominent American church leader with ties to members of the Donald Trump administration has declared strong support for the Alberta independence movement, which he calls a step toward establishing a government ruled by Christian principles.
Pastor Doug Wilson has prayed in the Pentagon, counselled Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth and won attention for his support of Christian nationalism, a belief that U.S. law and society should function according to biblical precepts.overreaching government," Mr. Wilson said in an interview this week in Moscow, Idaho, where he has built a large conservative church community and a following that includes Mr. Hegseth.
He has also gained prominence in Canada, where nearly a dozen congregations in his denomination have taken root, at least one led by pastors who have said an independent Alberta should adopt Christianity as its official religion.
Opinion: Alberta separatism increasingly resembles a temper tantrum
Three congregations in Mr. Wilson's Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches are in Alberta, including in Grande Prairie, Cochrane and Coaldale. Across Canada, "there's a number of others coming," said Mr. Wilson, whose mother was Canadian.
A successful secession vote in Alberta "would encourage all kinds of people," he said.
A Christian nation, Mr. Wilson says, would in the U.S. revoke the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote, in favour of a household ballot system. On his blog, he has criticized women for "slutty dress," and says positions of authority should generally be reserved for men.Screenshot of one of Doug Wilson’s videos. The #Artemis II astronauts said they needed more superlatives to describe their view of the eclipse, when the Sun was behind the Moon and its near surface was faintly illuminated by Earthshine
Captured by the Artemis II crew during their lunar flyby on April 6, 2026, this image shows the Moon fully eclipsing the Sun. From the crew’s perspective, the Moon appears large enough to completely block the Sun, creating nearly 54 minutes of totality and extending the view far beyond what is possible from Earth. The corona forms a glowing halo around the dark lunar disk, revealing details of the Sun’s outer atmosphere typically hidden by its brightness. Also visible are stars, typically too faint to see when imaging the Moon, but with the Moon in darkness stars are readily imaged. This unique vantage point provides both a striking visual and a valuable opportunity for astronauts to document and describe the corona during humanity’s return to deep space. The faint glow of the nearside of the Moon is visible in this image, having been illuminated by light reflected off the Earth. [alt text from NASA]

More context on this #Artemis II image: * This is the night side, lit by moonlight. You can see city lights in Spain & Portugal, & a sliver of day at lower right * The Sun is entirely behind Earth, which makes it a kind of solar eclipse, but w/ Earth doing the eclipsing instead of the Moon: ☀️🌍🚀🌕
A full disc image of Earth, as seen from the Orion Crew Module. The planet is a pale blue, swirling with white clouds and glowing slightly lighter blue in place from reflected light. At lower left, a large brown landmass is Africa, with Spain and Portugal with twinkling lights where the planet curves. At top right, auroras glow in a thin green glow, just barely separated from the planet's surface. Earth is set against the black of space (pic: NASA/R.Wiseman)
