I'm watching Soulm8te. It's the M3ganverse movie that got dumped straight to streaming. It reminds me of a cheezy 90's erotic thriller. It's a weird movie. It's a pity M3gan 2.0 tanked because the M3ganverse could have been really interesting.

I think we need to start responding to strangers who crash out in our mentions with "um okaaay?" More often. Don't acknowledge or try to fight them. Had some guy get mad at me and go on an all characters used 3 post rant about colonialism bc I mentioned a German bakery. He could have scrolled.

We need to rephrase the whole discussion in terms of hazardous products, instead of "minds". And then we need to make sure that there's liability. A model hacks someone? Put a C-suite guy in jail. Another thing I learned over on threads is to never reply to someone ASKING for perimenopause stories about how your personal perimenopause is not too difficult or saying that HRT made yours worse. 😂😂😂😂 People REALLY don't like that. Mine is pretty easy and I don't need hormones, I'm thankful.

And I'm a weird asshole. I've had ppl suggest I seek diagnosis for things I don't have rather than accept that I use the words I choose to describe myself. More people need to embrace their weirdness, their fatness, their oldness and be proud of it rather than policing ppl's chosen self descriptors.

Next weekend is Thanksgiving in Canada. I hate turkey dinners, we aren't having a family turkey dinner for Thanksgiving, but i'm thawing a cheap turkey i picked up on thursday so I can make soup. The only good part of the turkey is the bones, argue with the wall.

Casually assigning diagnoses for serious conditions that can cause people real struggles hurts people who actually have the condition. (I went thru this when OCD was the "cute fun quirk" everyone decided they had to seem more interesting online a few years ago, it's not fun)

I'm glad for people who sought out diagnosis at the suggestion of stuff on the internet, but people HAVE to get better at not telling people they have conditions that they don't have. I went through this offline for 4 years when my mother told ppl I had autism because she thinks i'm NOT PROPAH.

I just have OCD. While it's true that I don't like following certain social cues, I am fully aware of them and instead pick and choose which ones I follow. I am literally just a blunt asshole and I own that. I don't need or want an excuse for my behaviour, I own it. 😂😂😂

One of the things I learned on my brief time on threads is that there are a LOT of people who try to diagnose strangers with things like autism based on random posts. I was talking about OCD over there one day and someone was like "THAT OCD IS PROBABLY AUTISM". i definitely don't have autism.
