Went to a local jewellers and asked how much to change a battery in a Citizen EcoDrive watch. They said £75 and a month waiting list as they can't do it in store. Bought the battery online for £20, delivered next day. Fitted it myself in 20 mins. That's why the economy is going down the toilet.

After binning our fake, poisonous, not stainless steel Tesco flask, we finally found a discounted "Thermos Cafe" flask by Thermos to replace it. Inside at the bottom it's embossed 304 for food grade stainless steel. But to be sure, I tested it with reagent and... it's all good. Time for tea.

Thank goodness I never bought a car with factory sat nav. The 2014 Honda I just bought has a factory unit that owners foolishly did not update and that £800 option on the car had map updates ended in 2018, just 4 years from new.

Wow. They did it - and more. Not just disabled my mobile banking but all online banking so that I'd have to go into a branch to do anything. But there's a thing called "Current Account Switching Service" that you can do from your new bank with a few clicks without talking to your old, scummy bank.

⚠️ WARNING⚠️ I tested my "made in China" Tesco Stainless Steel Pet Food Bowl with the high manganese steel reagent test liquid and it changed from green to red in 30 seconds. This is not 304/316 "food grade" stainless steel. Do not use for food or water. It is poisonous. Throw them out now!

The test kit which has reagent liquid that will react with manganese in steel alloy and turn shades of red in seconds if high concentrations of manganese are in the steel.
