Okay, that's fair. Though people also confuse AI and ML, and that's also what hurts this whole conversation. AI isn't Sam Altman's, Elon Musk's or even Geoffrey Hinton's. Nor did I ever claim it that way. ML and AI are created by lots of underpaid scientists that got exploited.

"I largely agree with the classifications outlined by the graphic in the VRChat post. Minor coding assistance, translations, or other machine-learning-powered tools built into editors that have long existed don't bother me, but placing Generative AI in a position where it is making creative decisions that directly affect the experience of the world is a bridge too far. While I would not say such worlds should be banned outright (nor do I think this is even possible to enforce), I would endeavor to avoid supporting GenAI-based worlds in places where human effort is meant to be rewarded (including the Discover Worlds UI, events like Spookality, or highlights like VRChat's community world showcase), and to enable users to have much finer control over whether they see these things in their day-to-day experience."

Agree. But there are cases where AI is genuinely helpful. Vaccine research for example. AI shouldn't be used as a general slop machine. But what it actually was made to do, synthesize linguistic patterns. (For those you don't even need to steal anything)

I think 1 and 2 is honestly fine, because translators nowadays are all AI powered. Not everyone can hire a translator, it should be a must for teams that have money. And second, well using autocomplete in VSCode is honestly not the same as vibecoding, you still do all the code. It's not good though.

We hadn't imagined everyone to be so generous and help raise £3,855 for us, totally SMASHING our £2,000 goal!

About the move itself
We do however have some pretty bad news...

The property which me and Shan had applied for and spent over a month waiting to move into has been denied
Which leaves us in a very tough situation, my current housing situation will be ending on the 8th Oct and without this property it means I will officially be Homeless after this date.
Homeless being without a permanent place of residence.

With my full time work being a Streamer / Content Creator who works self-employed from home, as you can imagine this will be a pretty major issue for me and is going to be a very tough time in my life.

I have booked some temporary housing close to Shan in the mean time so that we can both look for a new rented property together, however the cost of this temporary housing isn't cheap so won't be a long time solution.

Some positives
The temp housing I'm moving too should allow for me to bring my streaming setup with me so depending on how good the WI-FI is I may be able to stream.
However stream times may be a bit up in the air and if the WI-FI isn't stable enough I may have to focus more on emergency commissions offline moving forward.

Shan luckily is in an ok spot and won't have to move out right away.

Going over our fundraiser goal has honestly been a huge boon.

We will try to keep you all posted over the next few weeks as things develop, and again THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for all the love and support 💙
