I don't know how I missed this 't-girl sims' project by Oleander Garden and Blood Machine's label Asphodel Softworks, but this is probably my favorite part of the steam page, a clear statement against endless expansions and dead games / live services:

A game with ten expansions is invariably very muddled. It is better to have ten games, each speaking in their own voice, in an open, cross-compatible mod ecosystem. Well! I've finished yet another playthrough of Dark Souls 2. I really do think it has a ton of amazing features that wpuld be nice to see make a return in later fromsoft games. As well as there being so much cut content that would have elevated the experience from great to impeccable.
