Still sitting at $40/$270! I'm gonna need at least $30 for food today, and I need $100 for a bill due TOMORROW. Can we try to take some bigger swings at clearing this? 💕💸

October Monthly Discord Announcements! TL;DR: Adding another collab stream night with my partner @ashenswift.bsky.social, my 6 year Affiliate anniversary and Halloween coming, and also events schedule. discord.lotusenta.gay

discord pinged message from Auntie Lotus that reads:

October Monthly Announcement
Hi @everyone, it's that time of year!

It's October, and that means Halloween! Also means my 6 year Affiliate Anniversary is October 28, 2026. I haven't decided yet what I'm doing for my anniversary, but Halloween will have our traditional Organ Trail run. Maybe something else.

I will also be starting a new collab night, and playing games with Ashen on Friday nights at 8pm Eastern on his Twitch. We're gonna be starting with Stray, since we've been wanting to play that one together actually since it came out and are finally doing it.

Since I will be having my anniversary on a Wednesday night, that means we will be skipping one of our Wednesday Night Stitch n Bitch sessions. So the only one for the month will be Wednesday, October 14, 2026 8:00 PM.

@movie night schedule will be Wednesday, October 7, 2026 8:00 PM and Wednesday, October 21, 2026 8:00 PM. The second movie night will be a Halloween themed double feature. I think I am going to make it a tradition to watch One Cut of the Dead as the second movie, and I will find another movie that is not actual horror for the first movie.

I think I will be pushing @community night Sunday up a little later, so for this month it will be Saturday, October 17, 2026 7:00 PM. I haven't decided what we're doing yet, maybe we'll have to plan it in the community-planning channel.

Anyways, thanks for listening, it's been a hell of a ride.

message ends with a lotus flower holding a heart

It's kind of a shock to see my deadname out in the wild on the internet. People using it for their OCs and Vtubers and shit. It's kind of an uncommon name that doesn't even get a lot of love in fiction so it's weird seeing it out here.

You see me posting things here on social media and I know a lot of you assume I am just an angry person. I'm not. There's just a lot to be angry about right now, and this is where I vent. I can't make secondary accounts because I won't use them. I can't even use more than one site at a time.

With October around the corner, I just wanted to let y'all know that sp**k is a slur. This is why I decided to stop saying sp**ky. I know people don't mean it that way; they mean it as a cutesy way of saying scary but the word makes me personally uncomfortable. www.pushblack.us/news/how-spo...

If you want to be an ally to marginalized people, you need to remember that you're dealing with a traumatized population. If you take offense to people lashing out at their oppressors because you look like them, cishet white man, then you need to grow a thicker skin.
