@matttutt I use Mailbox.org, the search on the web interface is OK, but I use a local app (Mailmate) for emails 99% of the time, so it’s not something I have explored the edge cases of.

This is a big issue. Captions must be correct for them to work at all. If they are not, it is like a ramp with a random step in the middle, or a elevator that randomly skips levels. It's unacceptable.

Honestly, effing so much up that you say "we're not doing this anymore" is better than "we'll improve our processes in the future".

@christianp Yes, there is a new 8.x.x version out for every PHP version from 8.2 to 8. whatever the latest is. 8.5.12 is the one from today and yes, you should upgrade to that. I guess it depends on when it goes into Ubuntu repos, maybe. www.php.net/ChangeLog-8.php#8.5.12

My grief with WCAG’s “In Brief” · Eric Eggert
“In Brief” sections overly simplify what WCAG success criteria are all about, they miss their target audience, and they make the design of the pages way less coherent by splitting up normative and non-normative content.

<output> is mostly a shorter way to write <div role="status">, which itself is a shorter way to write <div aria-live="polite" aria-atomic="true">. So technically, according to the first rule of ARIA, you should always use output instead of specifying the ARIA attributes.
