Putin apologists of the right (eg Tucker Carlson) and left (eg Noam Chomsky) got what they wanted: a U.S. government that treats the war as not Russia’s fault, cuts military support for Ukraine, and pressures Ukraine to give up land in exchange for the Kremlin’s word. It has not resulted in peace.

Today's jobs report is a reminder that tax cuts for corporations and the rich don’t create jobs or grow the economy. What's required is investment in working people — and better wages. When workers have money to spend, the economy grows and businesses create more jobs. Remember this.

Great examples regarding balance of power. AI *could* be inclusive and reduce inequality. But it seems more likely to worsen inequality and entrench the oligarchy, as well as the underclass. A large plumbing firm can filter those bot calls. An individual plumber, maybe not. Another good example:

AI offers promise for agriculture, but smallholder farmers risk being left behind
AI tools for farming can play a role. But they need to be properly tailored for African and developing nations’ context.

Graphic from the Center for Biological Diversity over a scenic view of Big Bend. Large text reads, “MASSIVE WIN FOR BIG BEND.” Below, it says a federal judge has frozen all destruction throughout the Big Bend region until the project’s legality can be determined in court. The graphic adds that the Center will continue fighting to save Big Bend and asks supporters to join them.
