Yeah, I think it was only there for one year, but maybe two.

Several years back, there was another coaster at MM that I wouldn't ride. It was 'something Green Lantern', and I took one look at it and noped out. But a couple friends did ride it, and as I was waiting near the exit, I heard a few people getting out of it that were complaining about their necks...

The really 'sad' ones were some where we know who the people in the pictures are, but in the decades that have passed, we now have no contacts to share the scanned picture of some parents or grandparents with.

What is considered a ‘vintage’ suit? I didn’t hear about this meetup, but I do have a suit that is over 15 years old.

You put one of those 'U' shaped tunnels (like they use in dog agility classes) at the narrow end. The dog hits that at full speed and comes out the other end without even slowing down. A little dizzy maybe.... 😜

Yeah, I REALLY wanted to like Mastadon. I got a few amazing tidbits of information from some of the accounts that I followed. But once the server that I was on decided to shut down, I was just like.... Meh?

This is very true. During COVID, I did a lot of scanning of old family pictures that my sister had. While I got a lot of old pictures of family that were very cool to have, we also had a lot of 'who is this?' pictures.

It should make consultants uncomfortable and we should spend the $ that we’re spending on consultants to build up state or federal-level infrastructural support services or A Service

Taking bets now if Morrissey cancels this show. His batting average for cancelling appearances is pretty high. To the point that I almost wonder if the concert promoters sometimes include him in a lineup as kind of an 'inside joke'.

I was literally doing the 'I'm ignoring the radio feed while eating' mode, when all of a sudden my brain was going 'Alert! A glitch in The Matrix!', and it took me a second to figure out what it was....

Yeah, Costco has had some Xmas stuff out since sometime in August. It's just I am not used to hearing the music sung by some unknown-to-me-but-I-am-sure-that-she-is-very-popular female singer until much later.

Yasha The Centaur @yashataur.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Yeah, some stores like Costco have had some Xmas stuff on display for a while. But from what I remember the music stuff normally waits until like November-somethingth.

A couple of times, I took one set of UnderArmor and balaclava, but didn’t bring the second set to wear while the first was getting washed and dried.

Man sticker mule is advertising all over YouTube, stealing sticker app’s ad aesthetics and really hoping you forget about the obscene amount of money they’ve donated to Trump and also making a Trump statue. But I remember. We all remember, sticker mule. cbs6albany.com/news/local/s...

Real tired of seeing a bad thing and going “oh that’s a bad idea that will lead to bad things” and then people with more money than god going “no it is a good thing” and then surprise: it was, in fact, a bad thing, and all we can do about it is go “well I guess shit is worse now.”

There are companies that do this. And some also sell iPods that have this stuff already installed. As for DIY parts, they are available but taking an iPod apart and putting it back together can be tricky. eoe.works/collections/.... imods.com/collections/...

The future of the US is something close to binary, in my view. Either we rip out MAGA by the roots & get the biggest spurt of innovation & reform in our history since FDR, or we collapse into a prolonged internal conflict. The good news is MAGA is committing suicide & we just need to seal the deal.

I've learned over time that the furry fandom is too big for everyone to see eye to eye on everything. and that's ok. surround yourselves with people that validate you. be weird. be niche. don't try to be the everyman of the fandom, because it's not possible.

I am not a doctor or a scientist, but over the last few years, there has been some statistical evidence that some vaccinations do seem to 'boost' your immune system against other diseases. In fact, in some patients the shingles vax seems to actually slow the progression of Alzheimer's!

Yasha The Centaur @yashataur.bsky.social · 11/06/2026

So, besides this knitting example, AI bullshit is popping up in many other 'hobby' forums, like birdwatching and rail fanning (trainspotting). And I have to assume many others, as well.

You should be able to put the CD in a computer CD drive (??? IF you still have one...), and the CDDB function of most music apps should tell you the info about the disc.
