And yes, the CM story gets more complicated. Tweakbod identified this 1978 commercial for a Breakout and Pong-style game table by Bally Japan (which itself is a crazy story as it is NOT affiliated with Bally Mfg). So be careful when you say "first" folks.

Hey, @mayor.nyc.gov, did you see the study of 26,000 kids that showed "A.i." use causing a DECREASE in exam scores of up to 24 POINTS? Don't leave our kids behind by pushing "A.i." on them! Please declare a 2 year moratorium on "A.i." in the public schools NOW! cc @aimoratoriumnyc.bsky.social

I can't believe we have a proper, complete, hardware accurate neo geo pocket core for the mister. To celebrate, here is the intro sequence captured again but in color and with the correct audio matching the original hardware!

This “preview” MRA loads Jojo: HFTF great! A few things probably need to be fixed or adjusted before final release. Otherwise, in the 15 minutes I tested it, everything looks and responds great. It's incredible how well it runs, and feels responsive enough to be playable!

Somebody asked me on Reddit why people who use AI to generate Recomp projects are currently being rejected from the communities and what they can do to fix this. I might tweak parts of this to be a more general blog post at some point, but this should be of help to anyone in a similar situation.
