“But who will comfort Toffle? Who will tell him ‘In the end, if all you do is hide away, you’ll never find a friend.'” Tove Jansson's words hit harder than ever after meeting a childhood friend for the first time in 20 years or so.

"JK Rowling is already a billionaire and everyone already knows about Harry Potter, what's the point of boycotting?" Nobody thinks boycotting will bankrupt her. We know she's gonna die rich. We're just asking you to show a shred of solidarity with trans folk. Absolute low bar bare minimum shit.

I wish people understood that TV writers: 1. *Have* actually thought more about this than even the most die hard fan. 2. Are beholden to time, money, and owner constraints that fans will never be aware of. 3. Are extremely likely to already be aware of any critiques because (see 1) but (see 2)

We creators could quite literally never write anything “better” then whatever an individual has in their own head with their own tastes and their own opinions. I think the sooner people realize that the sooner they can just enjoy what media exists as it is from the mind of someone else. 🥰

So there is a fake Comic Fury app in the google play store (see pictured). Don't download this, it's not real. The real Comic Fury site is not owned by the developer and there are no microtransactions. Please help Kyo, the real creator and owner of Comic Fury, by reporting its ass.

Screenshot of a "Comic Fury" app in the google play store by developer "StonePathDigital" that "contains ads" and "in-app purchases".

💯 a lot of us creators have been here since the start. It isn’t just that suddenly we can’t take it, the tone of negativity and judgement and intensity has gotten SO much worse for creators (and just people) and it’s deeply upsetting.

September is Bi Visibility Month, so perceiving me may be easier, as all bisexuals have disadvantage on stealth rolls until Halloween 1st.

BI REMINDER
💜Bisexual women are still bi even if they're dating men
🩷Bisexual men exist, and they're not "just gay"
💙Ace/Aro bisexuals, & Nonbinary
bisexuals exist
💜Sexual orientation is about attraction, not action
🩷Bisexuals dont need to have dated all the genders/gender identities they re attracted to - to know they're attracted to them

It’s okay if you have a hard time prioritizing. It’s okay if you underestimate how long things will take. It’s okay if unexpected shit goes wrong and you get so frustrated you could scream. Slow progress is still progress. It’s okay. You’re okay.

Word of mouth is basically the only way small team projects can gain any traction. People hate ads with a passion, and ignore creators when they pitch their own work. But people will give something a chance when a person they know says they like something

My mother once scolded me for being up so late at night doing seemingly nothing. Jokes on her. Many years later, I still too often dread the coming of next day, and stay up until 3 am or later. No, it makes as little sense now as it did back then. And yes, I am tired and eepy. Doesn't help.

Some person quoted me saying gray morality leads to fascism bc right and wrong are blurred and ppl get sympathetic for the bad guys???? Gray morality in fiction encourages critical thinking. Believing everything is either Good or Evil is how you get ppl enforcing censorship and thought crimes shit.

i hate how much people care about their ships being "canon" now. spirk fans didn't publish zines full of fanfics in the 70s only for modern fandom to grovel at the knees of corporations and beg for things to be canon. use your imaginations, don't allow billionaires to think for you.
