The big takeaway here is that Reuters won this case against the AI company on grounds they violated fair use—the judge found the AI company was guilty because, in using copyrighted works to generate its output, it “meant to compete... by developing a market substitute.” Huge.

Slowly building up a usd library of assets using the component builder in #Houdini and #Solaris starting from individual props to creating usd sets like this. I found that the default dicing value was too much for the sofa, so lowering it reduced the initializing time to near 0, for same quality
