Here’s a list of Pizza Hut classics around the country, which typically have the red cups, booths, and lamps. (I know the pandemic cost some of them salad bars, though.) List last updated a year ago. rolandopujol.substack.com/p/the-retrol...
Classic Pizza Hut sign. Reads: Welcome to Pita Hut Classic
My brother and I opened the first Pizza Hut in Wichita, Kansas, with nothing but a dream and soul borrowed from our mother.
Since then, we ve become one of the world's best known brands. This Pizza Hut Classic celebrates our heritage with a design that's reminiscent of our original dine in restaurants.
It reminds us of the Pizza Hut where generations of Americans first fell in love with pizza. We're so happy to have you here; we hope you will fall in love all over again!

I bought some buttons.
A photograph of 11 buttons lying on a table. Two larger pink buttons depict the Vocaloid character Miku holding a banner that says “trans rights”. three small red buttons with a white star in the background say “support local music”. Three small black buttons say “trans rights are human rights” in the associated pink/white/cyan colors. Three small black buttons say “a platform for fascists” alongside a picture of a guillotine.

I prefer the unchained monk to the original monk for mostly this reason. But I’ve found both manageable in actual play until high levels, when frankly a lot of pathfinder classes start to break down due to overcomplexity of single round actions.

Glenn @xretsimx.bsky.social · 16/02/2025
(And just to make it clear, I love the idea of the Magus, which is why it's on my list. My objection is not simulationist in nature. I don't care that a Magus making faster sword attacks than a Fighter is "unrealistic". I care that the complexity feels out-of-genre and slows down the gaming table.)

Glenn @xretsimx.bsky.social · 16/02/2025
I mean, all true, but I don't think that makes it better -- I feel like it's supposed to be a class that blends a spellcaster with a fighter, not an uber-complex high risk class that can make more attacks with a sword than a fighter can for some reason while also casting a spell.

Glenn @xretsimx.bsky.social · 16/02/2025
In theory, this is counterbalanced by the penalties to hit from spell-combat's two-weapon fighting, but I don't find that those disadvantages play out in real play, and they themselves are mechanically complex enough that I left them out of the explanation for fear of getting them wrong. 7/7

Glenn @xretsimx.bsky.social · 16/02/2025
Finally, because they can do this with a cantrip, it's that complex almost every single round, and they get to make two primary weapon attacks for the "cost" of potentially also doing 1d3 or 2d3 of cantrip damage on top of the weapon damage. 6/7

Glenn @xretsimx.bsky.social · 16/02/2025
So, if the 2nd level Magus is wielding a longsword and can cast Shocking Grasp, they can take a long complicated turn and if it pays off with two hits, do 2d8+str+2d6 electric, with a fair chance of doing 3d8+str+str+4d6 electric if they crit on the Spellstrike. 5/7

Glenn @xretsimx.bsky.social · 16/02/2025
Nutshell: With Spell Combat, explicitly allowed to do a full round action where they attack with a weapon and cast a spell. W/Spellstrike, if the spell is a touch spell, they get a free opportunity to deliver it with weapon. If they hit, they get do weapon damage _again_, plus spell damage too. 4/7

Glenn @xretsimx.bsky.social · 16/02/2025
This makes the low-level Magus' turn in the order of combat pretty unmanageable. I takes more rolling than a typical 6th level character, involves a lot of careful rules reading, and frustrates other players whose characters only get one damage roll while the Magus is making three. 3/7

Glenn @xretsimx.bsky.social · 16/02/2025
The most notable issue is that a lot of people feel (with some justification as written) that the combo of Spell Combat + Spellstrike allows two weapon attacks plus a spell attack -- effectively making it possible for a 2nd level character to do weapon/weapon/spell damage in a single round. 2/7

Glenn @xretsimx.bsky.social · 16/02/2025
Quick answer is that its rules need badly need simplification. On PFSRD the FAQ sidebar is longer than than the rules themselves. Longer answer: While I don't think the class is bad as designed/intended, I've found way people play it leads to a lot of rules-dense cheese. 1/7

I say go with the blurb. While the wrap-around image is cool, no one unfolds a gaming book and sets it face down to take it in, and no one stares at the wordless back cover. On the other hand, text on the spine and back really help when perusing a library — even your own gaming one.

I know a lot is going on at once, but... I think The Guardian's headline editing team should consider that they just might be overusing the word "amid".
A screenshot cut from the main page of the guardian showing four headlines:
"Meta to report fourth-quarter earnings amid DeepSeek mania and ballooning AI investments"
"Fed holds interest rates stead amid uncertainty over Trump's impact on economy"
"Microsoft to report fourth-quarter earnings amid uproar over DeepSeek's AI"
"Tesla to report fourth-quarter earnings amid declining car delivery numbers"
A fifth headline and picture has been blurred out in the screenshot.

Everyone should be aware of the line that has been crossed in the Trump trans military EO. No longer is this about "evidence," "science" or "protecting kids." Now, explicitly, black and white, it's about trans people being "liars," "dishonorable," "false." It's a big step towards very bad things.

Title alone? “Bismark vs. Titanic: Sunk Costs”. I mean, I don’t think anything with the title in the “A vs B: pun” region has ever been good. “Star Trek vs. Star Wars: Unstable Orbits”. The format itself makes it seem like an unwatchable vanity documentary.
