Not to dispute that this is what the allies were doing, but that second wave isn't expressly to kill firefighters, but more because high explosives into an area with established fires will generate a raging firestorm. The Luftwaffe might have prototyped the tactic, but the Allies perfected it.

The 6yo and I have annual passes to a local car museum earlier. One of the exhibit/decorations they had was a book called "A guide to Girling"... It was referring to a brakes manufacturer, but I'm still really annoyed that I forgot to take a picture on the way out.

There's a tripod cat that likes to sit outside our local Lidl. The other day our neighbour said she bent down and let him sniff her, then he let her stroke around his face and chin. Another customer came out and said "oh, he's letting you pet him? He just hit me".

Anyway, I think Hotel Architect is really good. If you're a fan of cartoony management games with more depth than their aesthetic would suggest, then give it a try. It has a demo on Steam if you want to give it a go before buying. I'm looking forward to next Thursday and learning about the 1st DLC.

4. Pay off that really bad loan. 5. Ignore decor. Start ensuring rooms have the things they need to function. 6. Discount the rooms with bad decor by 50%. Only improving the decor when the bankruptcy warning is lifted. This got the bankruptcy warning lifted within the first in game day for me.

1. Spend your two upgrade points on speedy builders one. 2. Start tagging expensive but unnecessary items for removal. 3. Sack the two or three staff with bad traits. Reduce everyone else's salary to what they'd expect. Replace sacked staff with better candidates.

At this point it is paramount that the candidate jokingly says "huh, cheap round I guess", or words to that effect. Failure to make the joke will disqualify the candidate. The candidate must then make their chosen drink while avoiding using anyone's personal mug; in addition, there are no spoons.

Something I learned the other day is that the 6yo clearly considers "Bro" to be a gender neutral term. Outside a supermarket the other day we saw a girl (with face paint) who'd been to the same birthday party we'd just been to and he cracks out "She was just at the party. Bro looks like a cheetah".

I don't know if this counteracts this at all, but I gave my (cisgender) sister first choice and she picked Red because she didn't want the turtle with guns on it. That said you're splitting the two versions between a cis girl and an oblivious trans girl, so there's a limit to how useful this data is

Couple of weeks ago we had a patient turn up on a Sunday. They'd received an automated reminder about an appointment on tuesday that they hadn't received a letter for. Not ordinarily a problem but the letter contained medication they should be taking from the day before the appointment.

It's very difficult to quickly move stuff if your truck drivers decide they're going to scatter off the road and your tank crews decide that they'd be safer in a nearby hedge than their Panzer every time someone in the column shouts "Jabos" when they see planes overhead.

As you mention in the pod, actually hitting stuff with rockets and bombs is incredibly difficult and pilots were certainly causing less damage to road columns than they were claiming. But the planes overhead causing drivers and crews in the columns to panic does make a big difference.
