give it a shot! aside from catching the movies on TV as a kid I had no exposure to TOS til I started watching it by accident last year. I thought it would feel too dated (and it is at points) but it's got loads of charm

sprouted pumpkin seeds planted in the dirt. glimpsed the biggest centipede I've ever seen with my own eyes. the first I've seen in this garden. then found a tiny, glistening, just-hatched lizard. she climbed onto my hand and I lifted her up to hop onto a big sea grape leaf. welcome to Earth

so nice to find an amphibian that isn't an invasive tree frog (it's an invasive toad)

a grayish brown cane toad sits in a small pool of rainwater that has collected on a bag of pea gravel. he looks a little miffed that I've accidentally removed the roof of his hideaway.

that's true! when I first saw this one a few months ago it looked like she'd lost the end of her tail and maybe injured it in the middle, and there was a little regenerating tail tip at both breaks. I was surprised to see they both grew out, she's doubly prepared now

Visited a heronry yesterday and saw so many young birds! Great egrets, little blue herons, black crowned night herons, and great blue herons were all mixed in. I took this shot of a great egret coming in for a landing and was particularly happy with it #birds #birdphotos #greategret

going through my dad's stuff years later I found this article about alien encounters in MO he'd saved. this "gray snake person" looks similar to what I'd seen, except that one was going out instead of in. maybe it was about the same thing, some kind of "local interest" paranormal TV show? who knows

not sure how old I was but I woke up scared late at night & left my room to find my mom watching TV. it was a scifi/horror scene of a man doubled over and a huge grey worm creature emerging from his mouth. that was scarier than whatever had woken me up so I went back to bed without a word lol
