I wish I'd have set up a dedicated optical drive enclosure earlier! It's so convenient to rip multiple discs at once and cover all use-cases with one box: CD/DVD/BD/3D/UHD, redump, disc quality scans & more! Bluesky is unethically collaborating with dictators. It operates a Turkish content labeler, which any account registered in Turkey is required to subscribe to, and censors posts. I'm disappointed, but not surprised. Was a good run here.

BC roads are about to get a lot more dangerous.

The British Columbia government is making changes to its graduated drivers licensing regime, eliminating the need for a second road test to obtain a full licence.

Public Safety Minister Garry Begg says the changes, if approved, will see new drivers get "on-road experience" and be subject to a 12-month restriction rather than be required to take another test to get their Class 5 licence.
