(He/They) Scrabble for the Sony Playstation is genuinely an extremely fun speedrun, and I feel sad that more people don't appreciate that

I got to see him perform this all live, alone on a stage with just a clarinet and some pedals. One of the coolest live music experiences I've had!

Need to share this album I've been listening to, Press Start This solo clarinetist uses effect pedals to make some wild music. This is a concept album he did, a soundtrack to a game that doesn't exist. It's a little bit classical, a little bit metal, very cool! www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5LU...

For the record, I ended up doing Chuck Berry's first album for #500 I've listened to a bunch of individual "origin of rock" songs over the years, but the earliest rock album on this spreadsheet was from The Beach Boys, and something felt wrong about that, lol

A YouTube video title is more similar to a marketing tagline than to a film's name. And yeah, when a studio sees that a marketing campaign isn't working, it's normal for them to make changes to it. I don't think anybody is happy that this is the way things are, but this is the platform we all use.

Xandot Oaster @xandotoaster.bsky.social · 24/09/2026
The problem is that YouTube titles don't serve the same function as titles of songs or movies. Movies have marketing campaigns to convince people to come see them. A YouTube video has to do the entire marketing job just with a title and a still thumbnail image.

I consider myself pretty bad about listening through the entire works of a band I like, so honestly I'm a bit surprised I'm already at 7 by TMBG, haha I have gotten a lot better about it in the last couple years though, so maybe I'll make a push soon to go through everything else they've done

The way Sinclair User put these two games in the same title box for their review made them sound like a more interesting third thing
A pair of reviews of Llainlan Software games from the April 1985 Sinclair User. They have been covered together, with the result that the title reads 'Falklands Crisis BMX Trials'.

"Both games are awful. Llainlan Software can be avoided at Pontyberem, Llanelli, Dyfed."

One of my favorite questions is, "how many games in the N series are there?" because the answers could be anywhere from like 3 to 12 depending on who you ask and what they consider to be a distinct game

I rented a Charley Bowers collection last weekend, and I get why he's not still a household name, but most of his films I saw seemed to have *one* extremely good bit like this. I'd recommend watching the rest of this film, as well as Egged On, also available on YouTube.

And that discourages playing with the rest of the extremely fun movement options in that game. SMS absolutely controls better than SM64 in every other way.

It's been a couple years since I've played it, but iirc bonking in SMS is one of the worst feelings in a video game. It takes roughly three hours for Mario to stand up again and for the player to regain control.
