xanderh @xanderh.bsky.social · 29/09/2026I didn't say you did? You're being weirdly hostile, all because I said that 1k people is considered a representative sample size. I'm not trying to police anyone, just giving facts about the field of statistics. 000
xanderh @xanderh.bsky.social · 29/09/2026So you were not criticizing the validity of the poll by mentioning the sample size? Because it sounded like you were. I don't take issue with questioning whether it's still relevant due to recency, but the sample size is fine. 100
xanderh @xanderh.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Sample sizes above roughly 1000 people are generally considered statistically representative, as long as respondents are picked randomly. 110
xanderh @xanderh.bsky.social · 29/09/2026"messer" just means knife in German, but when used in English in a historical context, we get the "sword with a knife-like hilt construction" definition. 020
xanderh @xanderh.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Generally speaking, sword classifications use the local term, despite that often just being their word for "sword". We define the shamshir, tulwar, saif, jian, katana, etc as specific swords, but every single one of those words just means "sword" in their respective languages. In the same way, 231

xanderh @xanderh.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Why would she feel bad? She did nothing wrong, this was his fuck-up, something that was easily avoided. You've got some weird hang-ups around this - especially because her not feeling bad is specifically appealing to Biscuit's kink. Stop being a weirdo, you're making people uncomfortable. 010
xanderh @xanderh.bsky.social · 10/09/2026No, she doesn't feel bad for him. He should have thought ahead and checked the prices, either before inviting her, or between inviting her and the date actually starting. 110
xanderh @xanderh.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Cam being embarrassed in this situation is the point of the kink, what Biscuit was seeking to get out of it. The implication of the whole piece is that Cam invited her here, and said he'd pay. Note how she doesn't have a coinpurse on her. 110
