This was a fun project - the model wanted pics of herself with a flaming sword. I provided the karabela and took part in the brainstorming with the photographer to find a way that doesn't damage the blade. It turned out quite spectacular, and the blade made it through safely.

While it most likely never happened in reality, I want to remind everyone of the alleged topless duel in 1892. Paintings and photos recreating the idea were a bit of a fad for a time there. The reason for this reminder should become apparent in a couple of weeks, until then have some period art.
