You're right, he merely worked on an Israeli military base as a college student and boasted about it. Also, he did not call Arabs "savages", like I had remembered, but he did call them "battle-minded", which is obviously still extremely racist and unacceptable - as is volunteering for the IDF.

the reason people are upset is that this arbitrarily divides palestine into two states, which is a deliberate israeli policy designed to weaken palestine and divide gazans and those in the west bank. most palestinians do not support separating the two.

the united nations, human rights watch, amnesty international, and many many more international human rights organizations disagree. 5 million people live in palestine. they are not citizens of israel nor can they become citizens. they live under direct military rule and are subject to violence.

the PA recognized israel and has called for a peaceful transition to the 2ss. israel has begun efforts to formally annex 60% of the west bank, has prevented the PA from assembling, and arrests palestinian politicians who support the 2ss.
