It is nice to see that London transformed from absolute dog💩 level of bicycle infrastructure, that was IMO below Berlin of the 90s just 15 years or so ago, to come out at least a level above the Berlin of today. 🫠 I was really looking forward to a collaboration of Evan and @notjustbikes and […]

Post en Bluesky de Ed Zitron, "a very straightforward way to act against data centers is to see if there's any way you can trigger some sort of environmental review or anything else that slows them down by a month or two or three or six. These are all paid for with debt, and are interest-only payments until completion."

Even if SpaceX had the capacity to perform a high-orbit launch every day on a vehicle which fits 50 satellites each time, it would take them 55 years to put up those satellites. Does anyone think a 55 year old "AI data center" remains useful?

These are two of my favorite memes about companies putting AI into everything. if you have any additional favorite ones you want to share, I wouldn't mind a few more to spice up one of my coming talks with....
left: a car with the name "product management" heads towards the exit "something something AI" instead of forward "adding value for customers"

right: title "unwanted AI" with a girl ("me") with a giant tuba covering her head and the sign of the girl playing the instrument saying "every company"
