``w1m2`` | Outskirts of the other side Second map for the dimension of the cadaver. It has mostly textures u'd see in vanilla e1m2. Idea for a giant tower that is the center of the map came from tremor's e1m2 lift-tower. So now with w1m1 and w1m2, first half of the episode is finished :)

One of the best Quake mappers and texture-artists out there, soon to release a pack of ~1600 textures for commercial use. Fingers crossed that we see some of these popping up across the retro shooter sphere over the next couple years.

#quake #leveldesign #retro w1m1 | Hydropower plant As much as I dislike Quake's tech-base maps i tried to add grey-bricks to make it more interesting beyond being shrimply brown. I tried to be somewhat modest with amount of decor for the rooms, I think I hit a neat balance on that one.

I have no idea what will happen in the coming decade, but my response to the rapid acceleration of the pace of the game industry (AI is just part of that) has been to start trying to slow down. I'm likely going to get buried for a few years but I really don't think this pace can last forever.
