there are moral arguments against the death penalty in its ideal form but in real life you never need to get there. the prior question is "can the state be trusted to end the life only of the rightly convicted without torture?" and the answer is no

This happened to me over the summer.... Make sure they don't put the temporary pump outside your house. Or at least have them put vibration isolation mats down. It was vibrating our entire house all hours of the night. Talk about the low hum of dread at the front door. 🫨😵‍💫😓

5 years ago I would have said my radio is stuck on NPR but I live somewhere between two NPR stations so now my car is just a rolling audio book speaker It also periodically plays sound tracks or the Nintendo Music app.

This was a clip played during the live sermon. Even when I had Davinci Resolve auto build the captions for a clip I always went back and edited them for names and garbled captions Hand typing also lets me be attentive to background sounds that may be relevant to include.

Just another night making captions for a clip in my spouses sermon tomorrow. I used to use auto captions in Davinci Resolve but it seems it's using AI now. Hand typing them this time and it's my joy to do it for my spouse and the congregation!

School districts' AI policies may not be considering this, or have and aren't saying anything bc as long as the AI use wasn't district requirement, the culpability for a FERPA violation would fall on the teachers. There is no assurance of protection of student data once you have put it into AI.

Hey, fellow teachers: For the love of FERPA, do not ever do anything that requires AI to have students' names or photos **including Canva or Google** . Not coloring sheets, not name tracing pages, nothing. If you wouldn't put it into a random website or on social media, don't put it in AI.

My wife & I after completing every ride, show & attraction at EPIC Universe on our first day! Every ride was closed for 1/4 of the day, cooled off in our room twice, Mosters Unchained was closed until the last hour! We got 2nd row on Stardust @ night! Ended carousel @ 9:30 for fountain show. Epic!
