Trans rights is inherently a bodily autonomy issue. Just like abortion rights is. We can't have gender equity or reproductive freedom without trans rights. Full stop. You can yell at me and make up shit that you claim I've said if it makes you feel better. I don't care. I'm right. And you know it.

Scenes from Mooningwaanikaaning where I was so excited to learn about The Flicker House and the Great Lakes Lifeways Institute. So important to see Ojibwe presence on Main Street of their stolen home island
A sign that reads stop line 5 not needed not safeThree Ojibwe canoes. A recently built birch bark canoe, an old and weathered dug out canoe, and a modern dug out canoe
Bathroom graffiti that reads Free Palestine and Land Back among other things A sign that reads: Aaniin, visitors. Welcome to Mooningwaanikaaning. the homeland of the Ojibwe people. The Ojibwe name for Madeline Island means "home of the yellow-breasted flicker bird." This island was the last-foretold stopping point on the Ojibwe migration from the beginning of the St. Lawrence River and the Atlantic Ocean. Hundreds of years ago, a prophet instructed the Anishinaabeg to move west until they found the food that grows on water and a sacred island. There, they could live mino-bimaadiziwin, which means to live in a good way with intention and to be in balance and at peace with yourself, others, and the environment. They brought with them the Water Drum, Sacred Scrolls, and the Sacred Fire transported from location to location for over 500 years. Hundreds of miles
were traveled via jiimaanan (canoes)
following the Great Lakes.

..that is not their real fear. Their fear is that the left will go on to win the general election, and, like Mamdani in NYC, prove that the left can govern. They are willing to throw the general election to Republicans by smearing the left and demoralizing the Dem base to avoid that outcome.

Becoming obsessed with the Dane County Sheriff race captimes.com/news/electio...
A screenshot of an interview with a county sheriff candidate.

Jack Ordman: Ordman is a software engineer, activist and dog lover in County Board District 11 representing the Shorewood Hills area. Ordman participated in the demonstration at Ridglan Farms on April 18, where officers used pepper spray, rubber bullets and tear gas against a crowd of more than 1,000 people protesting against the facility. The violence against activists and the Sheriff's Office response is what made Ordman decide to run, he said.Screenshot of an interview with a candidate running for Dane County Sheriff. He says: “I've been at Black Lives Matter protests in Milwaukee and Madison, and the relationship between law enforcement and the public has always kind of been in my mind. It's something that I've participated in, but then specifically, I'm a big dog lover, and you know, Ridglan was a cause that I believed in, and you know, figuring out that was happening right here in Dane County was troubling to say the least.”

The integrity of the office is what got me into this race. And if no one else is going to challenge him, then yes, I'm stepping up as a civilian because people deserve another option.”
