30-year-old youth minister Elijah Gantt has spent two years behind bars awaiting trial for attending a protest to mark the 10 year anniversary of Michael Brown’s killing. The state’s case included 12 charges and a sentencing request of 66 years until he accepted a plea deal. Now they are seeking 19.
