I am livid that my student who submitted a diversity F31 and received an outstanding score, near the top of the fundable range, was told to submit again. Refusing to fund F31s from URMs while funding regular F31s from white/privileged students with worse scores is blatant discrimination.

#Woodpecker Wednesday! And Day 4 of #ArtAdventCalendar - this winter's cast of characters so far when it comes to the intergrade Northern Flickers that show up in my yard. One returning bird so far (seen since Feb 24) and two newbies. 🎨🪶🐡🧪 #ornithology - and see reply for more info

Top bird, a female, has a mostly gray head with a red nape chevron and orange underwing. Middle bird, a female, has a mostly tan head, red underwing, and no additional markings. Last bird, a male, has a face mostly like a standard Red-shafted male (gray head with a darker crown and red moustache) but a yellow-orange underwing and a tail that is half yellow-orange and half bright yellow.
