In a first for migration research, this tiny little ruby-throated hummer flew an astounding ELEVEN HOURS in the wind tunnel at @westernu.ca! At 7 m/s that equals 280 km. Grad student Amalie Hutchinson is the first to fly hummers in a wind tunnel without a feeder. Go Amalie!
