apropos of nothing, when my partner and I met we found out within a couple days that we shared a favorite band: Frightened Rabbit. we had each seen them live about 6 times before meeting. but never will see them together, RIP Scott Hutchison. we built a shrine to them in our house.

a gig poster of the band, and art that we made representing some common motif's from their album artwork. a drumstick my partner got at a show, and the two books of Scott's lyrics and arts. all of this is in our dining room.

lol just sticking to that album there's Heads Roll Off and Poke and ain't no one prepared for those

If I had deeper community networks i would be organizing a non-academic version. I want a place for the parents and grandparents and affected communities to be able to communally process the grief/anger/trauma/heartbreak/radicalization! (i was there today and it was great)

I am a transplant to the twin cities still growing my roots in the community but i would happily join a planning committee for more such events!
