Yet for years, Kenyan writers have been writing science fiction, fantasy, and horror in magazines, anthologies, novels, and online publications. These stories bend time, build alternate worlds, and explore technology and the supernatural, but they rarely get the same visibility as other kinds of literature. If this is your first time hearing about Kenyan speculative fiction, you're not alone. Over the next few weeks, we'll share stories, authors, and publications worth digging into. Every Will This Be A Problem? publication has featured speculative fiction by Kenyan writers so consider this your entry point. Swipe for a selection of Kenyan spec-fic from all our anthologies and magazines, then go read them.”
