I've been remodeling* for 5 years and only now did I realize you can use a plumbers wrench to open PVC primer and cement cans…. The amount of time I have lost in the manly struggle to open one of these things is unaccountable. *I'm one of the good ones, that's why I can't make a living off it.

The inciting moment between the two love interests in my racing story :). Only about 13 first-draft chapters down, only 15 more to go! 😅 #WIPSnips #amWriting
a section of dialogue from "Downforce" a racing drama with m/m romance plot:
“What’s your budget?”
Edmund’s jaw worked. “Whatever you need.”
Steph chuckled.
“You think I’m a joke?” Edmund tried to slow down, calm himself. This mechanic could do the work, and by the look of the place he could use the money. Take a breath, Edmund. “Listen, I can win for you. If I can get a car by Friday, will you help me?”
Steph stared for a moment that felt like several. Perspiration dappled Edmund’s forehead.
“You need two more drivers, you know.”
“Easy.”
The mechanic stroked his smooth chin, eyes appraising Edmund like marbling in a steak.
“I’ll fund everything!” Edmund had no idea how he’d do that, but the words slipped out.
Steph rose his eyebrows. The stale air in his office smelled like sweat and earl grey. Finally, he cracked a smile and held out a gloved hand.
“Have a car here by Friday, and you have a deal.”

Finished the first draft of "Tears of Inti". My browser history is mostly Argentinian cemeteries... Here's a hint of Alfred Buttress' journey! (Yes, my writing partner is carrying my ass in the design area)
Small printed booklet titled “Tears of Inti by: Alfred Buttress” on blue paper, with a hand-drawn jar illustration on the cover and handwritten editorial notes around the edges. The notes read "Use bone folder" with an arrow toward the fold. "Too thick unless the pages are creased before stpling. Pay attention to staple position."Close-up of a printed page from a short story, the text reads:
'The next day it feels like I’m walking on air rather than hard-packed ground. More good omens? I bent my rules, and pay respects to a higher power.
With the sun still shining, I arrived in San Carlos Minos where I saw a small shrine. The glass box held the figure, Santa Jose Gabriel Brochero. I placed a sigle walnut on his pedastle. Feeling so untethered, maybe this was a way to ground myself. I’m still not sure.
'Vamos.'
I look down to see Pampa’s eyes shimmer with a message I couldn’t decode. I just knew, he wasn’t asking for food.
'You like him?' I motion to the Santa Jose.
Pampa huffed. I scratched my head, and read the small plaque. This guy walked like I did, only he knew what was wrong and still did it to help the poor.
'You want to stay here?' I asked, scanning the horizon.Maybe this was the right choice. 'Alright, Pampa, lead the way.'"
the word “pedestal” is circled in red and a small illustration of a shrine is mid page.

This week from insanity ranch, Theodore is gone, leaving poor Elenore to fight a horse on her own. But Elenore won't go down so easy. She presses a button, with a dextrous digit. *BzZZt* *clank* *shink* The glass of her mech suit is fragile. She must make this quick.
Whiteboard drawing of a chaotic mech suit with four long, spindly arms. Inside a round glass cockpit, a small figure is visible, a tiny Chihuahua with huge ears. One arm holds a staff that crackles with electricity at its base, another ends in a pincers, and a third swings a glowing, orange blade toward a crudely drawn horse labeled “horse” on the right.
Flying eratically beside the mech side is an octagonal bee drone who appears to be the unhappy companion of the mech pilot.

Colorful sci-fi illustration of four older men—stylized as goofy, confident “grandpas”—posing heroically in space. One wears a Santa hat and checks a phone, another throws up peace signs, and others grin with exaggerated enthusiasm. Behind them looms a giant purple monster with glowing eyes, while spaceships streak past firing bright lasers. The overall vibe is chaotic, comedic, and high-energy, blending retro pulp sci-fi with cartoon humor.
