I use it for all my audiobooks and it is surprisingly full featured in. When you start playing after a break, it will rewind different amounts of time depending on how long of a break it's been.

I love "it's just a tool" but we're talking about products with a brand name, while shoveling money in and hoping they give us the good payout. Levers are a tool. Slot machines are a product.

Thanks for your responses! Okay, so I'm starting to understand the lexicon thing with standard.site, but what do you mean by "built on atproto". Does it not have its own lexicon?

standard.site

Standard.site - One schema. Every platform.

Standard.site provides shared lexicons for long-form publishing on AT Protocol. Making content easier to discover, index, and move across the ATmosphere.

AT Protocol devs: Where do I start in understanding the ecosystem? I get the basic idea of Bluesky, but how do things like @standard.site and @cartridge.dev integrate with it? Do updates there show here? I'm already working through the docs, but any video or article recs would be huge. #ATProto

we don't talk enough about how cool the color-interpolation-method is in CSS gradients all of these slices have the same gradient: linear-gradient(#00ffff 0%, #ff00ff 100%) each one is just using a different colour interpolation

A demonstration of the same gradient defined as a light blue to fuschia gradient, with 5 different color interpolation methods. From left to right, srgb, which kind of muddies the blended colours in the middle to a light pastel purple, lch, which moves seems to move to the blue colour quicker, not creating the purple muddiness, oklch, which does move through the purple but in a more subtle way, oklab, which remains more pink than anything, and hsl, which adds a very dark almost internet blue at the centre of the gradient

Making an app for myself was really easy and fun. Getting it signed and bundled for the app store was a pain. I'm thinking of making a PR to update the Tauri docs with clearer directions for that part.

110

Trey Willetto @willetto.digital · 30/03/2026

Good overall! It has some neat tools to hook into OS, treating it like a backend service. The bummer is that it does basically run your apps in webkit/safari, but the nice thing is you don't have to worry about cross browser compatibility as much.

110

Trey Willetto @willetto.digital · 29/03/2026

I made a macOS app! It's a Svelte app bundled with Tauri, and it does exactly one thing: trims audio files. Built for non-technical people. apps.apple.com/us/app/easy-... I'd love any feedback here or via DM. And if you like it, a review or sharing with a friend goes a long way. 🙏🏼

Just wow. @pluralistic.net.web.brid.gy came out swinging in this article. He's right though and that's the coolest part.

In 2026, countries that want to win the trade war have a unique historical possibility: They could repeal their “anticircumvention” laws, which make it illegal—a felony, in many cases—to modify devices and services without permission from their manufacturers. Over the past two decades, the office of the US Trade Representative–which is responsible for developing and coordinating US international trade, commodity, and direct investment policy—has pressured most of the world into adopting these laws, hamstringing foreign startups that might compete with Apple (by providing a jailbreaking kit that installs a third-party app store), or Google (by blocking tracking on Android devices), or Amazon (by converting Kindle and Audible files to formats that work on rival apps), or John Deere (by disabling the systems that block third-party repairs), or the Big Three automakers (by decoding the encrypted error messages mechanics need to service our cars). The rents that these digital locks help American companies extract run to hundreds of billions of dollars every single year. The world’s governments agreed to protect this racket in exchange for tariff-free access to American markets. Now that the US has reneged on its side of the bargain, these laws serve no useful purpose.

A screenshot of a thread from the Neopets forums where a user asks about "little boo boo dolls" and is corrected on the name of labubus. Everything about it is extremely early 2000s, from the terrible usernames to custom coded fonts and a person's signature declaring they are 68.9% gay. However it is from August 2025.

Badges showing developer skills like Shopify, Svelte, Wordpress and other frameworks and services in the style of fruit labels stickers.
