Reading "The Elements of Typographic Style", I got way too inspired and went down a CSS rabbit hole trying to reproduce some of it. Everything doesn't transfer to web. (First image is my version, second is from the book.) Now I want to write something real with this stylesheet!

Bombadil playing terminal Tetris at 900+ actions per second. Can't really see what's going on (replays, menus, etc just flashing by). This is running the full spec language verifier on every frame.

Good stuff landing soon! Bombadil fixed timeouts are going away, in favor of a dynamic strategy that monitors DOM and network activity, in order to react as quickly as possible and not waste time just sitting around. Quick measurements show 2-4x speedups in terms of actions per second.

I've developed somewhat of an obsession with LTL error messages, and Bombadil is the outlet. Here's a bug in one of the TodoMVC apps, where changing filters while having a pending item clears the input, throwing away the pending text. The error message isn't perfect but it's a huge improvement.

The `bombadil inspect` command brings up this interactive web UI which you can use to understand what happened in a test and why properties were violated. In later releases this will be a live view during running tests too.

Fireplace floor protector progress! Something covering the floor cuts remaining, and of course some firewood. The finish got a little weird because of dust where I painted, but meh. The cutouts turned out so good that I didn't need to seal against the blocks. Really fun project overall!

Office upgrade project in progress! The bookshelf is taking shape, just need to mount it next to the IVAR cabinets and cut out the remaining shelves. Probably finishing it with linseed oil for now. Maybe paint later, but I like the fur against the olive green wall.

I've been hacking on the scraper a lot, trying to get TOC extraction robust. It now handles links in all weird directions (as often seen in Sphinx sites). No JS support yet, but that's probably coming up next. I'd be happy to receive test cases I can use.

Proof of concept using Pandoc! Here I'm converting my own blog into an ereader-friendly PDF. I'd spend a lot more time making the output beautiful, as I think that's one of the major selling points. Need to build a real crawler, possibly running a real Chrome to support JS.
