Nothing but uncritical solidarity with those fighting for their freedom and the breaking of the chains of Western imperialism.
The proletariat in each of the centres of imperialism must mercilessly expose the machinations of the ruling class of its own country, support in deed, not merely in word, every liberation movement against imperialist aggression. "

And whether working class people like it or not, a DICTATORSHIP is inevitable. To be class conscious is to understand that there are ONLY two classes; the capitalist ruling class and the working class. And as a working class person, you definitely want to live in a dictatorship of the working class.

But unfortunately, so many of these nonwestern countries desperate to have western-style liberal democracy, are so easy to be infiltrated simply because of liberal democracy. Liberal democracy is literally government for, by, and of fascists. It will always be infiltrated by fascists and fascism.

It's why every single western liberal democracy, and capitalist ruling class rapist and epstein pedophile hates those countries. A dictatorship of the working class, led by a disciplined vanguard Communist party like you have in China, the DPRK, etc., would never succumb to capitalist infiltration.

In contrast to the dictatorship of the capitalist ruling class, you have the dictatorship of the working class, where workers enact a dictatorship over the bourgeoisie or billionaire capitalist ruling class. The dictatorship of the working class is what you have in China, Cuba, Vietnam and the DPRK.

And bourgeois electoralism or bourgeois democracy (basically just the whole culture of "vote harder" and nothing still changes) relies heavily on voting and giving poor working class people the illusion of having some kinda control/power over their government, when they ABSOLUTELY DO NOT.

Liberal democracy is literally a DICTATORSHIP OF THE CAPITALIST RULING CLASS. The capitalist ruling classes sponsor bourgeois electoralism and put their pawns (liberal and conservative politicians) in positions of power, in order to ensure that every decision they make favours the capitalist class.

This is the problem of (western-style) liberal democracy. Liberal democracy is a political (and economic) system that aims to PROTECT capitalism and white supremacy. And because it places capital above the state, capital ALWAYS determines who they put in power. You can't do that shit in China!

This short story was shared with me by The New Yorker in their fiction newsletter, along with an interview with the author’s son. The short story is printed in English for the first time, and I guess I’m wondering 1) why now & 2) who benefits from this anti-communist propaganda?

Related, here’s a declassified CIA document (released in 2010) where the short story author, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, admits he was a CIA agent. Publication date was 1983. Of course, none of this is mentioned in the anti-communist puff-piece. www.cia.gov/readingroom/...

It is not an accident that very tenants of healthcare, even whether vaccines and germ theory are legitimate, are being challenged by the far right. Capitalist healthcare is imploding. Ecosystem collapse WILL create more deadly pandemics. Venture capital will weaken already-straining systems.

Banger. Frankly a salve against people weaponizing the language of accountability against survivors.
Our goal is not for every single person to feel comfortable and validated, our goal is to end cycles of harm. Fundamental change in the people who enact harm is by far our preference, but lacking that we understand that our responsibility is then to reduce or destroy their capacity to continue to enact harm on others. We don’t just sit on our hands and hope we can eventually convince them to change at the same time that their enacting of that harm continues to work in their own interest because they’re surrounded by people who think consequences for harm is the same as throwing someone in prison

two doses of lethal drugs and still alive. heartbreaking and barbaric
A lawyer for Christa Pike said executioners have administered two syringes of lethal injection drugs to Pike but that she remains alive and breathing.
Kelly Gleason, an attorney for Pike, said she heard this from another of Pike's attorneys, Randy Spivey. Gleason said Spivey was in the death chamber with Pike but stepped out to call Gleason.
"She's alive and snoring," Gleason said.
Another attorney, Amy Harwell, is driving an emergency motion to the Tennessee Supreme Court, Gleason said.
"She needs immediate medical care," Gleason said.

One of the reasons that liberals are so ineffective at stopping Trump is because they’re primarily engaging in symbolism, not substance. The latter requires that you take personal risks and engage in behavior that may be just, but isn’t always legal, and that’s anathema to the liberal ethos.
