Learning JavaScript. As I come from a background of statically typed languages, dynamically type languages just feel so weird. Instead of being like “Hey I’m gonna make a car alright? K, here’s the car.” It’s just, “HERE’S A CAR.” It feels strange not to explicitly tell the compiler what I want.

We want to get N95 masks for our dogs that protect from wildfire smoke. But they’re sold out. So I (with AI help) wrote a python script that checks every minute if they’re in stock. If so, it’ll email me. Then launched an AWS instance and ran it. 24/7 checking without having to keep my computer on!

I’m ripping old home movie dvd’s onto my PC so I have them digitally for enternity and I wrote a powershell script that calls a bash script that emails me when the dvd has finished ripping so I can go back and get the next one going and I feel like a hackerman (even though ChatGPT helped a LOT lol)
