Been sitting on this a while, but with just a week and a half to go, it's finally starting to feel real: On June 1, I'll be speaking on a panel at TwitchCon Europe! The topic? Juggling streaming and being a dad. If you'll be in Rotterdam at the end of this month, let me know!

One thing plaguing American media is a sizable portion of editors at prestigious outlets think a bad piece with a bad argument that gets a lot of criticism is a good thing. It’s getting attention! It shows the publication isn’t biased! Publishing bad work that’s poorly received makes them proud.

Students' thoughts on campus speech. Turns out, very few say faculty are the problem. Students also say campus speech is more problematic at other places than their own campus. www.insidehighered.com/news/student...
graphic shows who students blame for tensions over campus speech. Students: 40 percent; Politicians: 36%, College or Univ. governing boards: 24%; Administrators: 19%; None of these/tensions not escalating: 9%; Faculty: 9%. So it's not faculty radicals.
