Network multiplayer game dev is funny. B/c I feel like i spent a lot of time in Singleplayer games learning systems to optimize & maximize quality, but in Multiplayer, everything breaks in the most complex ways, so you go back to doing the suboptimal simple debuggable designs to make progress.

my take-away from Highguard's crash on impact is that big Marketing tends to be over-valued, because the risk is under-assesed. A good marketing campaign can sell a bad product, but one bad marketing choice with high visibility can nuke a good product.

riding a bike even a U.S. upper-range cycling city like Pittsburgh is crazy. i did a soft stop to let a walker go on the opposite side of the intersection, but they did the indecisive go-stop-go-stop. While i was getting back up to speed half way across, i had to yell, "go ahead, i see u"

since it's the last day of pride month I figured I'd at least make one thing for it... i now unveil to you my greatest invention: color bars pride flag

An LGBTQ+ pride flag formatted in the layout of the SMPTE "color bars" test pattern used for broadcast television. The first set of columns use the colors of the gay pride flag, with the addition of the original SMPTE color on the final column. The second set of columns contains two pride flags - the pansexual flag horizontally, and the asexual flag flipped and horizontal. The final set of columns contains the three colors of the transgender flag and the two POC-inclusive colors, followed by the original bar gradient from the SMPTE ECR-1-1978 pattern.
