an old one from when 6.4 came out and the tataru quest in terncliff was called Aggressive Expansion 🤨 #ffxivart

A single panel comic titled "6.4 Aggressive Expansion". Gaius jokingly remarks, "Tataru has expanded territories faster than I could have ever dreamed." Makoh'to pinches Gaius's face. He has an uneasy smile, worried brows, and low flickering ears as he says, "Honey, don't say that." Valdeaulin watches with narrowed eyes in the background.

I never did much with this, but Makoh'to's in-game glam is inspired by Meta Knight hehe

A colored scribble page of Makoh'to in a torn-up reaper glam, inspired by Meta Knight. Voidkirby claps excitedly at the change.

finally wrote up the breakdown symbolism of this piece lol

A screenshot of plain text that reads: GOOD GRIEF I never got around to this but it's probably because I wanted to sound professional about it. When have I ever sounded like that... so let me just write it on the spot, unedited!!

There's a lot I wanted to do for this piece - big composition (for me at least!) I tried to squeeze in a ton! Here's a list of things I included and reasons why:

Big Garlean flag, sinking into the blood - the blood represents everyone who has perished under this flag and because of this flag. Note the red of the flag blending into the blood. Iirc that bit of the flag does represent fallen Garleans.

Then of course Gaius is standing there because he is fascinating to me. Shadowhunter fit to show that he can dress himself anyway he wants, he will always be deeply entrenched in the blood spilled by himself, and by extension, the Empire. Heirsbane drawn and dipped in blood to show he is complicit, and double meaning with it looking like Livia's head is severed by his blade because that is truly on him.

Note that Livia AND Rhitahtyn's helms are in the blood as they died under his command. His own helm is there too! Underneath the flag are skulls of Garlean soldiers and conscripts (in this scene represented by the Crania Lupi another of Gaius's ideas...) kind of to say the Empire, as it were, built on the backs of its people AND those it conscripted.

The hands raised in the front represent the auri kids from Werlyt :') I included Allie too, because her home and childhood was taken away from her by the Empire... the hands go in fight order:

Milisandia - a bit more claw like silhouette for Ruby Weapon
Ricon - barely in frame to mirror how much meeker he was compared to his siblings when it came to fighting, as he hit oversoul right away
Rex - right under Gaius, as that's who he looked up to the most and was his oversoul copy...
Alfonse - with the memory core he wanted Gaius to give to Allie
Allie - hand outstretched to receive the core

In the middle ground we can see parts of each of the weapons (ruby's claws, sapphire's tentacle, emerald's shoulder, and diamond's shoulder)

In the background is the corrupted imperial palace obscured by a smoky haze.

Oh yeah and I wanted spotlight lighting from Gaius's back side specifically to highlight him but also cast his face in shadow at the same time. Then you also have some reflected lighting of the red from the blood on his face!

I think that was it... I want to do big symbolic works like this again eventually.

A crop of the original file at 100% to show off the lighting around Gaius's face.

i was looking at makoh'to's inventory #ffxivart

A flat colored scribble. A text box in the top left reads: Why do you carry around *those* cards? Makoh'to responds, "To keep him humble" as he holds up the Gaius van Baelsar triple triad card and Ultima Weapon triple triad card. One of his brows is raised as he answers quite matter of factly. His speech bubble is colored lavender and has kitty ears and whiskers. Gaius stands sheepishly behind Makoh'to, rubbing at his own neck in embarrassment.

An experimental #ffxiv #commission of Themis and Mikhail for @queseraphita.bsky.social 🌠

A monochromatic sketch of Themis, a little out of his element, being lead by the hand of Mikhail, a playful looking Miqo'te, who is slightly taller than Themis and has his long hair tied back into a large braid. The backgroudn consists largely of negative space, with one diagonal half being obscured by the solid white silhouette of Elidibus. His red mask floats high up above Themis's head. The other diagonal half is black. A shooting star's trail cuts through both the black and white negative space to end at the actual star in front of Themis's face.

At the bottom center of the image is a watermark that reads "Comm for Queseraphita" and has my site (andloveyoushallfind.crd.co) and signature.

Was walking past this building and through the window saw this backrooms-ass room, so I accidentally took the coolest picture ever due to the window's reflection

A backrooms-ass room with a twilight sky and trees seemingly imposed over it in a dream-like fashion (it's the reflection of the window)

"We served together as members of the Convocation of Fourteen, dedicated to the summoning of Lord Zodiark. Although the task assigned to you eventually fell to Elidibus." #ffxiv #loghrif #mitron #logmit #lgmt

Panel 1:
Loghrif and Mitron sleep as the light of day encroaches upon their bed.

Panel 2:
Mitron blinks awake to the light first.

Panel 3:
Mitron sits up, head in hand, shaking away the last vestiges of sleep.

Panel 4:
Loghrif opens an eye to watch Mitron adjusting.

Panel 5:
Loghrif: Just a bit more time.
Mitron startles and turns at Loghrif's voice.

Panel 6:
Mitron: ...you haven't slept at all, have you.
Loghrif: ...
Loghrif has approached close enough now into the light for Mitron to note tired eyes.
Loghrif looks away, downcast.

Panel 7:
Loghrif: Please, Artemis.
Loghrif embraces Mitron, desperate to weather the waves of anxiety.
Mitron's hand finds Loghrif's shoulder.

Panel 8:
Loghrif: Are you so keen to be rid of me?
They shed tears upon one another.
Mitron holds Loghrif's head close.
And Loghrif's hands clasp around Mitron as if in prayer, as if to pull them both back into the shadows.

fhil's gunbreaker training came from none other than their first foe. they put on a sour face, but a part of them couldn't help but admire how the years had not rusted the black wolf's blade - and envy the resolve with which he wields it, even now. 🎨 @mythiclings.bsky.social #fhilcommed #fhillore

EW!era Fhilsynt stands alongside Gaius Baelsar, who is wearing his Shadowhunter outfit. Both have their arms extended and are wielding gunblades. Gaius's gaze is firmly forward, while Fhil's eyes have wandered to him.
