It really sucks to be working 100 hour weeks and still not have money to pay the phone, internet, or power bill. I hate doing this, but if you have literally anything to spare I'm desperate at this point venmo.com/u/watzon2

The fact of the matter is, most companies can see through this easily. But it makes it so that only 1 in 20 (or less) of their applicants are real people trying to get a real job. Instead, companies have to wade through miles of BS in order to find those real applicants.

I learned recently that one of the major reasons the employment market for developers is in such upheaval is because of all of these outfits that are trying to hire engineers just to be a face while they do all the coding much cheaper in the background.

I know this is a tired question, but who is actually hiring software engineers right now?

I knew as soon as I saw your post that you were going to get some replies like that. Smh.

I'm curious, how many home/cottage bakers are here on Bluesky? Sound off. #homebaker #cottagebaker #cottagelaw #baker

Who out there is actually hiring engineers? And possibly more important, how would you recommend actually getting eyes on my application and not getting lost in the shuffle as one of 5k applicants? I'm a senior engineer with 14 years of experience and finding a job has been almost impossible.

I think it's important for people to realize that there are a lot of reasons Trump is doing this, and one of them is a loyalty litmus test. He's seeing just how insane he can be and keep his followers. #politics #uspol #trump

Listen, you don't have to use AI in your workflow. But if you're going around being an asshole on the internet to people who are, you are in the wrong. Especially when those people are just trying to build a business from the ground up and can't afford to pay a graphic designer. #AI #Opinion
