In Leeds, a group of Jewish students planned a vigil for the victims of 7th October - they arrived to find someone had scrawled the Green Party’s new policy position at the planned location.

This seems a strange take - agree or disagree with Kemi Badenoch’s message, there was a lot precisely on her vision for the country.

Protesters on a hate march are chanting “smash the Zionist settler state” on the streets of London. Three years ago to the day, we saw what that looks like in practice. Innocent people, even babies, murdered, tortured and kidnapped. For shame.

Badenoch got three standing ovations when she said the Tories would never join forces with Reform. “We must not let these people take us backwards. That is not the country we are. Reform MPs are openly questioning people's identity. They are not like us. We are not like them. We are different.”

Good to see Vegetius get a run-out from Kemi Badenoch 1600 years after he first said it: “If you want peace, prepare for war”. True then, true now. #cpc26

We can argue about the perverse incentives of cliff edges or whether £100k is actually that high a salary now. But fundamentally there is a disconnect. Universal benefits for the elderly, regardless of how many millions they may have in assets. No universal benefits for working parents

It’s a little known fact that all the words associated with paying to see the Bayeux Tapestry are derived from Anglo-Saxon while all the words for being invited to see it by a corporate sponsor derive from French.
