Objectively, Vredenburg in Utrecht is a very busy street. And yet, when I give guided tours, some people keep telling me that I have no idea what a really busy street looks like. What do they mean? Probably that, in their mind, a street cannot be busy when it does not have private cars. There aren't any here now. But it wasn’t always like this.
